Connectivity issues affecting Virgin Media services


The Metronet (UK) NOC are currently investigating what appears to be an issue with Virgin Media connections. Updates to follow shortly.

Customer services which were affected by this incident are currently working again, however services are not being confirmed as stable as of yet. The issue is still under investigation and we are actively liaising with Virgin to resolve. Virgin Media have investigated and have confirmed state changes on one of our VPLS instances at the times that we experienced issues. They believe that this was as of the result of a broadcast storm brought on by provisioning works. This remains under investigation by Virgin Media to locate the exact cause and we will be in regular contact with them until we receive answers and details of their actions to mitigate against this.
